About fifteen minutes once the compressor is at temperature, which is how most customers describe the everyday experience. The first batch on setup day takes up to forty-five minutes because the bucket and the compressor are starting at room temperature. After that, it's fifteen.

No ice. Ever. The 200-watt compressor freezes the drink itself, the same way the bars do it. Adding ice cubes, frozen fruit, or any solid ingredients can damage the paddle, so we ask you to skip them.

Spiked Slush handles anything between 2.8 and 16 percent alcohol. Wine, premixed margaritas, hard cider, hard kombucha, hard seltzers, hard lemonade. For spirits above 16 percent (a strong margarita, a daiquiri with a heavy pour), the bartender pro-tip is to freeze the mixer alone and pour the spirit at the glass. Same batch then serves kids and adults.

17 inches tall, 6.6 inches wide, 16 inches deep. That's about the footprint of a tall blender. Customers tell us it's "compact enough to leave it on the counter," which is why we don't position it as something you put away.

The fix is a thirty-second one: lift the bucket, press the silicone gasket flush into its groove, twist the bucket back in until it locks. The setup card now flags this on day one. If you ever need a replacement gasket, the 5-year warranty covers it.

Anything with sugar content below six percent. That means diet sodas, sugar-free seltzers, sugar-free juices. The physics of a frozen drink requires sugar to lower the freeze point. Yogurt drinks are not recommended for the Milkshake mode. And no ice cubes, frozen fruit, or solid ingredients in any mode.

"Shockingly quiet" is the customer phrase that comes up most. The compressor is the same kind your refrigerator uses, just smaller. Quieter than a blender, quieter than a stand mixer.

The Chillux is designed for kitchen counters and indoor entertaining areas, including covered patios. Direct sun and full outdoor weather are not recommended. Most customers run the slush inside, then carry pitchers out. The 4-hour insulation hold means you only set it once.
